I actually wrote this after the June 9th, 10th weekend but totally got sidetracked posting it.

LiL’ MinX and I decide to go to a nightclub at the ‘famed’ West Edmonton Mall… and had read ‘Rave’ reviews about a club there called “Fever“. The website looked pretty cool too.
We get there… the overhead signage is lit up, but the doors and windows are completely boarded up…. almost as though it was being renovated.
We stop a particularly Slutty looking ‘girl’ walking towards the Mall entrance to ask her if ‘Fever’ had moved? Closed?
She responds “Oh… they’re probably shut down since there were 3-4 people shot there last weekend (or this month). You might want to try the “Rum Jungle” just over there.”
So… we “mosey” on over to the club… wait in the line up…while waiting MinX and I notice that ALL security personnel are wearing bullet
proof vests.
Wow… suddenly, we’re a bit nervous.
We get up the entrance pay an exorbant cover charge of $10.00 each just to get in… from there we approach the male and female security guards (outfitted similar to SWAT) where we are promptly searched and patted down, and then released into the club.
We go into the club… walk right up to the big titted Beer/ Cooler type chick to grab a drink on the way in… get RAPED for $6.25 a cooler (most times these coolers ar between $4.00-$5.00) and $5.50 for a tall Rye & Coke at the bar.
Well… people watching in this bar was nonetheless very entertaining for both of us… LiL’ MinX laughing at the ‘bad’ dancers and me laughing at the social inadequacies of today’s youth…
Ah well… Once again, Edmonton attitudes and just general courtesy to their fellow ‘man’ is just shit in my books.
